Tucson Summer Essay Fun
Heck yeah! We have a venue for our Work Talks 3 event on Tuesday July 7th: we’ll be meeting at the Tucson Small Business Center (600 S. Meyer) at 7pm that night to hear fun, casual flash presentations from club members Christian Moher, Maya Bernstein-Schalet, Simmons Buntin, and Athena Monson about, in order, Logan’s Run (the novel), Glofish, The Sphere, and the video game Outer Wilds. Come join us! We can go for a drink at Crisol afterwards. We made a cool graphic for it even:
And a quick reminder that Tucson Essay Movie Club will meet at Casa Video at 7pm (social) and 8pm (movie and an essay) this Sunday to watch 1983’s Eddie and the Cruisers with an introduction from club member Lee Anne Gallaway-Mitchell. Cool graphic incoming:
And a last call for someone to pick July’s movie. Per Casa Video it has to be an 80s movie. We have a couple things in the queue, but if anyone’s got an idea they’re hot to introduce to us, let us know ASAP! We’re probably looking at Sunday July 12th or July 19th.
And one more note: we’re throwing our club a birthday party the first weekend in August! More details to come on that in a bit.
